true. i enjoy fanfic based on certain vin diesel movies, like "pitch black", "chronicles of riddick" and "the fast and the furious". hehe... i can't help it. i like a naughty anti-hero now and then.
i've never seen a bear, but i've eaten some! i know, it was greasy, disgusting and morally repugnant (they mate for life), but i was tricked into it.
as for writing? oh boy. well, i've got a terrible plot bunny that insists on a mary-sue OFC that won't go away until i give her what she wants. my resolve is starting to break and i've written a few chappies....and gods are they BAD! but i think it's best to just get it out of my system and locked away in a safe somewhere when i finish.

False, sadly false. I'll try just about anything that isn't "Fear Factor' quality.
I live in Northwestern NJ, so I get to see bears on a fairly regular basis--one of the reasons I really look forward to winter.
I stick to HP fanfiction and that's about the most I can handle.
Aw come, Firewhisky, share the fic with the rest of us. Put it under parody/humor, and it will work out just fine.

Wow. Haven't been here in a while. Let's see... Yes, I definitely own way more than a dozen DVDs. I'm not sure how many there are total, but there's a lot. All stored alphabetically.
I do like to wear pink, but with my skin tones I look much better in red. I'm too pale for light pink, and don't really like dark pink (though it really depends).
I'm not really a picky eater, but I know what I like, and I usually stick to eat it. I really will try nearly anything at least once, and if you tell me it's good, I'll probably go out of my way to try it out.
I don't read fanfictions outside of HP, though. I don't know why though, because I like a lot of other fandoms...
I absolutely adore sudoku and crosswords, as well as any puzzle really. If I have the time, space, and inclination, I will sit for many hours putting together an enormous jigsaw.
Anyway, moving on. The person below me is petrified that Thanksgiving is next week (if you celebrate it - if not, that Christmas is coming soon). |

False on both counts. Thanksgiving was last month up here, and as for Christmas—well, that's still far enough away that I'm not panicking about anything yet except the absolutely insane version of "The Twelve Days of Christmas" that my choir director picked out for this year's concert. Most of it is relatively normal, but the composer (Bob Chilcott, in case anyone's interested) decided to get creative with "five gold rings". The weirdest one is for verse 12:
Gonna sing a song for my Jesus, a song that gives me wings,
Drink the water from the fountain from where his love springs,
Gonna praise my God, gonna praise my God with ev'ry voice that sings
Five gold, five gold rings.
Gonna praise my God, gonna praise my God with ev'ry voice that sings
Five gold, five gold—
Four colly birds... (etc.)
I have no idea how I'm going to get through that without cracking up when we're performing it.
Guilty on the DVD thing, though. When I was in teacher's college I'd usually set aside a small amount of money each week from my grocery budget for little luxuries. As it happened, the store where I did my grocery shopping also had an electronics department (among other things), so I was able to pick up some pretty good movies there, generally for something in between $9.00 and $17.00. Not a bad way to relax on a Friday afternoon, especially after the three hour expedition that was usually my grocery walk (30 minutes to walk to the store, an hour and fifteen minutes in the store and 45 minutes to walk back home, since it involved a somewhat steep hill and I was carrying a week's worth of food).

True. One of my degree is Graphic Design and I used and use to do a lot of exercise in writing. Now, with computers, hands tend to become lazy.
As for DVDs, I think we could open a store... My husband works for cinema, special effects, cartoons and so on, therefore we are "obliged" to buy practically everything. Well, the joy is for the daughters, the (younger) nephews and all their friends, because we also collect action figures, cards, toys, and whatever is related with real or cartoon movies, so our house seems a branch of Toys' R Us (well, more its warehouse..).
Now a little personal curiosity, speaking of fandom, tv series and so on:is Doctor House having a stunning success in your countries? Do you like him? Isn't he a little bit "snapeish"? Here in Italy the series is at the top. And next Thursday will arrive Smallville...
OK, the person below me believes in the signs of Zodiac (hoping this is the correct name in English) |

Yes, my dear fellow Scorpio, I do!
You didn't tell me your husband was in cinema! I'll have to dig you for info later.
As for DVDs... *looks over at the bookcase covered in DVDs* Each shelf is separated by genres and are in alphabetical order. There are close to 300 up there.
House is doing very well. I think Hugh would do well in a Harry Potter movie. Hm, who could he play?
I read and write in multiple genre fanfics. My favorite genre is Star Wars. But I don't like crossovers. I'm a purist.
I am a picky eater, but I have to be since I have allergies. I can't eat anything with any kind of sugar substitute at all, including Splenda. They make me very sick.
The person below me wishes to visit another country, though they may never get there in her (or his) lifetime. (I really want to go to Europe - especially Austria - and Japan.) |

True. I really want to visit my family. And go to Sectus next year if possible. But if you are talking about some place I've never been before, I'd like to visit Australia... so true anyway.
A stubborn Taurus here *waves hand*
*is very jealous of jynx67 DVD collection*
*needs to get a better job so she can buy more DVDs*
I'm not sure how popular is House around here. It's on cable TV, so not all people has the channel, but it seems quite liked. House is very "snapeish" but let's face it, most of the characters I love share some qualities so it's not shocking that he is.
The person below me won't spend the holidays at home. |

False, though on Christmas Day it's likely to be practically true; I'm probably going to be spending most of the day with my dad's side of the family, and (as I said before) the only place large enough to hold all of us is WAY out of town.
Unlike at least one of the other Scorpios here, I don't particularly believe in the zodiac—though I do enjoy seeing the little coincidences that can pop up now and then from looking at the horoscopes in the paper. For example, about six and a half years ago I was away at one of my pipe band's competitions. For some reason that I can't remember anymore we were late in leaving for the closing ceremonies, and there are penalties for your band if nobody from that band shows up (i.e. no financial compensation for bands who travel, and if your band won in your grade then you forfeit the prize). Naturally, we ran down to the field as fast as we could when we heard the first wave of bands playing as the marched in; thank goodness we knew we were supposed to be in the second. I happened to look at my horoscope for that day after it was all done with, and (perhaps not surprisingly) it said that I should be careful not to be late for a special occasion and that I was in for some good exercise that day!
There are a couple of countries I'd like to visit eventually. Italy, mostly, though I'd also love to visit the regions of Normandy and Brittany in France since about a quarter of my ancestry comes from there. It might be nice to visit Japan, too.

Hahahahahah (laughs hysterically)
I wish it was true!
No, unfortunately my nights are very short, as I want to do a lot of things so I use some of the nocturnal hours to read and write or just reorder house. My job keeps me out until late, so when I come back at home, I try to spend my time with the daughters, therefore there is not too much left for myself. And in the morning I have to get up early to take the little one at school.
MaddyRiddle, you and me were browsing the forum side by side this morning! (Well, morning for me). I saw your name in the visitors. It would be nice if there was a way to say hello!
Pennfana, should I deduce you are another Scorpio?
Anybody else wants to declare their Zodiacal status?
I don't believe in signs, but I think they are interesting and sometimes there are funny coincidences.
Lady Whitehart, I saw your poll about the Ootp trailer, but here Happy Feet hasn't still gone to the cinema, so I can't answer. And you, did you see it (I mean the trailer)? What did you think?
The person below me blushes easily ( I do) |

No, I definitely don't blush easily!
I'm a Sagittarius, of course! My birthday's next month.
I will be home for Christmas, as well as at the parents-in-law's house (about thirty minutes apart), though I can't say I'm happy about that part of the holiday.
I'd love to travel the world. Especially Italy, and all of Western Europe, really.
The person below me hates lighting the pilot light (assuming you do). |

False. That may change sometime in the next year or so, though.
Memory: you're absolutely right about my sign.
The person below me sometimes gets so involved in whatever they're reading that if they happen to be reading around the time when the sun sets, they forget to turn on a lamp until they can hardly see the page. |

Yup, been there, done that.
I can't write original stories. I can write original stories in another author's world, but not an original world of my own. And I write more fantasy/sci-fi than anything else.

no way! *wonders where the 'puking' emoticon is* the crowds, the lines, the cold... no, not worth it at all to me. I don't buy things for the most part, anyway. I make food and cards and little chap books of bad poetry (mine).
Lady Whiteheart- I enjoyed that bear pic! Don't know that I would enjoy an actual bear in my back yard, though.
and as far as astrological signs go-- i'm the 13th, "ophiuchus", the "serpent holder"....yeah baby, you know how i roll. hehe, no seriously... anyone interested in astology souls maybe check this out http://www.startistics.com/ophiuchus/
