False. I had homemade chicken soup, which I tend to make with a small amount of fresh garlic. Not only does it taste pretty good, but it may help me to get over the cold that's been bothering me and robbing me of the ability to sing any note above a high F for the last week or so.
Most of my favourite Snape art (or Harry Potter art in general, actually) can be found over at http://www.nasubionna.net/hp/index2.html.

False. I don't actually like swimming much. I used to, when I was a child. But then, I also enjoyed flying when I was a child, and now I'm terrified of it--that's my unreasonable fear. Well, not *so* unreasonable!
I've done some rereading for my fan-fic, but I'm not likely to reread *just* to prepare for the new books coming out--I don't have enough hours in the day!
I did read a good *new* book last night, although it's not available for general public consumption yet. Tamara Siler Jones has written a third Dubric Byerly dark-fantasy-mystery. If you like really grim fantasy, or if you enjoyed the Brother Cadfael series, you'd like Dubric Byerly. The new book is Valley of the Soul, and it won't be out until Halloween (ARCs are such a wonderful thing), but if you start reading the first two books now.... (Ghosts in the Snow and Threads of Malice)
Wonga's favorite Snape pic is a nice one. My all time favorite Snape pic is mouse's "First Day at Hogwarts": http://shillusions.com/displayimage.php?pos=-495 --young Snape in canon robes. I also recently found what I now consider the most compelling picture of adult Snape. Makani thoroughly illustrated the chapter "Spinner's End" here: http://acciobrain.ligermagic.com/ch2.html Near the bottom is Snape making the Unbreakable Vow. Yowza!
The person below me has a mountain of laundry to do today.

My mountain of laundry was Tuesday after the long weekend away at the beach. So, the answer is 'no'.
Wow, Verity. I love that second link. Is it me, or are the drawings rather "early Disney"-ish? It reminds me of 101 Dalmations or The Aristocats. Quite awesome.
I prefer a pool over a lake. I love to swim and really wish I had a pool in which to swim. Unfortunately, I don't even live near anywhere that has a public pool.
The person below me doesn't like thunder because it means there is lightening nearby. (I am terrified of it.) |

False. I love thunder and storms in general, as long as I don't have to go outside in it. It makes me feel cozy to stay inside.
I love both those links -- the First Day of School, and the Spinner's End.
I love to swim, and much prefer a lake to a pool. I like the ocean better than a pool too.
The person below me has seen a professional production of Romeo and Juliet, and doesn't like the play. |

False. The only Shakespeare I've been involved with was in both my english classes, and neither of them were Romeo and Juliet.
Just to mention some bad puns: "Hey Jack, ya bean stalked." "How many pore strips does a dog need?" Neither of those are mine, I have a friend who is a bad pun generator, both of those popped out randomly during a single conversation!
I agree entirely with maryh about thunder storms although I hate lightening.
I ALWAYS have a mountain of laundry, I did do some this morning though.
I love Mikani's version of Spinner's End. I've seen it before but it never fails to amuse!

False. My dentist did recommend them for me when I was about 12 for purely cosmetic reasons (I have a slight overbite; it's never caused problems, nor is it ever likely to). Even then I didn't see the point in all that pain and aggravation to correct something which wasn't even a problem in the first place.
I love thunderstorms, especially when I'm out at the lake where my family has a camp--or "cottage", I suppose. What we call a "camp" where I live not only describes a campsite with tents and all that but also a small house-like building, typically without a basement, which may or may not have electricity or running water and which is built on the shore of a lake. (I wouldn't have tried to explain that, but I've noticed that it's one of those weird little local slang words that sometimes cause misunderstandings.) Anyway, I've always loved watching thunderstorms from the front window, which faces the lake; when I was a kid I used to call them "lightning shows" when I was out there.
The person below me is very good at crashing computers. (I've even managed to crash my iBook twice. ) |

True- ish . I don't ever actually 'crash' the computer, but I've been known to break other parts. Drivers, montiors, etc etc.
I actually managed to screw up my monitor this morning by doing absolutely nothing. I switched it with my fiance's... they're both old and heavy.
I had braces from 5th through 9th grade then retainers till college.
I love thunderstorms. We're going to be getting a lot of rain from the latest hurrincane soon. The power went out last night when I was out to dinner at Ihop.
Speaking of crashes...

True, but never seriously. Most of my "crashes" have caused minimal damage.
My computers crash more frequently than I'd like, but at least I don't kill them dead like my husband does!
Never had braces (well, not quite true--I had a "brace" between one molar and another for a couple of months because it was growing in really crooked, but I've never done the metal-mouth thing).
I love thunderstorms, even when they scare me. And now that I've lived in the Midwest for the last ten years, anything but a Midwestern thunderstorm (a *true* light show) seems really wimpy to me.
I've never seen a professional Romeo and Juliet onstage, just films (including the BBC version with lots of yummy actors, including a very young Alan Rickman). It's not awful, but it's certainly an overrated play. My favorite Shakespeare play is A Midsummer Night's Dream: romance, humor, fantasy, magic--I don't need any more than that.
The person below me has cut out fabric for an article of clothing and never got around to sewing it together.

True. My textiles teacher hated me...
I had an orthodontic plate and braces.
I've never made a/my computer crash, I have made them freeze.
I crashed my mother's car when I didn't have a license, my bad. It wrote off the car, put me in hospital for month and is the cause of most of my broken bones. I shall never 'borrow' my mother's car again!
The person below me doesn't like the BBC Pride and Prejudice mini-series. |

false.
My husband gave me the DVD for our first anniversary (after thoughtlessly taping over the copy I'd made during the broadcast.)
My kids, who are almost 4, love it, too. (Except for Mrs. Bennet and Lady Catherine, but I can hardly blame them. When they were about 1 we had to stop watching it for a while because one boy would cry each time Wickham came on screen.)
The person below me has tried to like Jonathon Strange and Mr. Norell, but isn't a big fan. |

True. I'd heard that it was good, and it's the sort of novel that appeals strongly to me--alternative magical history. And it was fairly enjoyable as I was reading it. But the ending just fell flat for me. There were so many loose ends left untied, so much foreshadowing that never came to fruition, that I just couldn't like it very well. The hoopla and apparently intense fandom that surrounds it mystifies me.
I enjoyed the BBC Pride and Prejudice, but more because the principal actors' performances were good than because of the overall production. One thing I've noticed about BBC productions over the years: they don't care whether or not they bore they audience. Consequently they sometimes remain *way* too faithful to the originals, to the point of not making the necessary artistic transitions between media. Not that the recent film of P&P didn't have its own flaws. But dragging out the story interminably wasn't one of them.
The person below me has been surprised by liking a book or movie they didn't expect to when they started reading/watching it. (I thought Lilo & Stitch was going to be just another dumb second-rate Disney movie.)

True. I liked the book Memoirs of a Geisha, but I'd heard so many people say that the movie was awful that I wholly expected to hate it when I finally saw it a couple of months ago. From the first word in this post, you can probably guess what my opinion of the movie really was.
I've only seen a few minutes of the BBC Pride and Prejudice, but I've been meaning to watch the rest of it. It hasn't been a priority, though, as P&P isn't one of my favourite Austen novels; I much prefer Persuasion and Sense and Sensibility.
While we're on the topic of movies and books--the person below me has a long list of movies they intend to see and books they intend to read. (Currently I have about 20 movies and 36 books I have yet to get around to.) |

Oh, so very true.
I'm a bibliophile (and an English teacher), so my list is very long. Plus, I have twins who are not quite 4... so haven't really seen a movie in a theater since "The Ring" (October, 2002 in case you were wondering). . . .and frequently can't stay awake to watch ones we rent. . .
The person below me has just remembered that it's her/his turn to cook and they have nothing planned. . . . (okay, it's just me, but that's all I have time for.) |

Sort of true? My fiance has been on crunch time (video game term for mandatory working late a lot) and it will be ending soon. I haven't been 'cooking' dinner since it's just me, and now *gasp* I have to cook again.
I'm kindof feeling overwhelmed by suddenly having to plan meals again.
Verity - I was so surprised about how worked up people here (Boston) get about mild thunderstorms. Coming from Kansas, tornadoes aren't even that big of a deal to me anymore. But a blizzard would freak me out.
Continuing with household like duties -
