Does anyone know where I can find this fic now that The Potions Master site appears to be going the way of the Dodo? It was posted there fairly recently as a response to the "Sex God Snape" challenge issued by LadyoftheMasque (I think). Unfortunately, I don't remember the author's name -- but if she should happen to read this, would she please consider posting the story on Ashwinder, Petulant Poetess, or some such?
The story takes place after the Final Battle (HBP-compliant) and involves an adult Hermione. Severus accidentally overhears two female professors gossiping and is angry when he hears them declare that he's the last man on earth they'd ever want to sleep with. He decides to take revenge -- but he realizes that before he can do that, he needs to improve his appearance. He ends up consulting Hermione's place of business -- she runs a special salon where people who are disfigured or extremely insecure about their appearance can find help. She decided to make this her life's work after encountering a young girl in the hospital who was often teased about her appearance -- and Hermione herself carries a scar on her face from the Final Battle, a magical scar which could not be healed although she wears a glamour to conceal it. Hermione helps Severus become more attractive to women, but she herself is falling in love with him. Severus quickly becomes highly sought-after, but he comes to preceive that Hermione is the one who has truly cared for him and he realizes that he's falling in love with her as well (*sigh*). Does anyone know where I can find it now that Potions Master seems to be kaput?
