I am looking for some one to beta my story. I have had five different people beta my story (at the same time). I did this to get multiple perspectives on my story. In doing this, I rooted out those folks who left gapping grammatical errors and the beta I found most trust worthy would prefer not to continue as my beta as I no longer wish to publish my story on another site. I need someone who can go back over all of my chapters as I am still finding errors.
My story is …
• General drama or action - adventure.
• There is Romance is this story however that is not the driving focus. I have various relationships in the works not all are strictly canon. (no relationship currently exists)
• Right now, I have only two chapters complete. Chapter three is in the bullpen warming up and wanting to pitch. So far, my story is mild; however, I expect major violence, some snogging and foul language. I have changed my rating from ‘R’ to PG-13. I am not sure if my rating is high enough, I do not want to have G rating in the beginning when things are neutral and then have to bump it up because I get graphic later on.
• My chapters are long chapter one is over 9000 words chapter two is almost 11,000 words and the unfinished chapter three is 13,000 words and it will be close to 15,000 by the time I am done if not more.
• My story is as cannon as I can get it. Please let me know if you see any errors. I have created several new characters. Moreover, I have given voice and personality to characters we have only heard about.
I am not British so I am having some trouble with the difference in speech. I would like someone familiar with British-ism. My spelling is from an American dictionary unless the word I am using is strictly British. I have tried to use snogging vs. kissing, telly vs. television etc. if you have any other suggestion please let me know.
1. I need someone who is going to root out all the places where I left out words (because I think faster than I type.)
2. I need someone who can find all the places were I have the incorrect word (saw instead of was; their instead of there etc)
3. I need someone familiar with British-ism (i.e. telly, loo, bathroom vs. toilet etc)
4. I need someone familiar with British speech (kissing vs. snogging; git vs. jerk etc)
5. I need someone versed in canon.
6. I need someone versed with strengths in grammar and punctuation.
I will email you my chapters for editing in word xp if you feel you can perform the tasks I need.
