Yeah, a CTH type (Capture The Horcrux) story doesn't sound too interesting. I think there's going to be a lot of research, more of Dumbledore's memories, and a lot of Order involvement.

I didn't read all 4 pgs of this thread, but my off the wall theory is that Harry is the last Horcrux. I think he's Gryffindor's heir b/c he pulled the sword out of the hat in CoS, his parents hid and were murdered in Godric's Hollow, and I think when Voldemort attacked Harry, Harry became the final horcrux by accident. This would explain Harry's connection with Voldemort better than "random side effect of the curse and his mum's sacrifice."

Not necessarily. I noticed how throughout HBP the main-focus was for Harry to learn more about Voldemort, along the lines of "know thy enemy". I think therefor that the hunt for the horcruxes will provide further information on Tom Riddle, where he went wrong and how to dispose of him (I have a theory but I lack the skill to present it in English, sadly) - which might also give further background information on his followers and his opponents. And after reading 5 books concentrating and who Harry is I think it'll be interesting to see who his enemy is and how he grows into defeating him.[/i]

Before I say anything, can I just comment on the how great theories and ideas people have come up with. I'm amazed. (Please point out if there are serious flaws in this idea or if it's something that was painfully obvious)
Dumbledore thinks that Nagini the snake is a Horcrux. In OP, we learnt more about how Harry and Voldemort have a connection. We don't have all that much info. on how this connection works but theoritically, it connects Harry to Voldemort via their minds and therefore their souls? If this is the case, then is this why Harry saw Arthur being attacked from Nagini's POV (Nagini being a piece of V's soul)? Also, a reason why this was brought to my attention was because when Harry brought the question up to Snape during an Occlumency lesson, Snape did not answer and changed the topic. Then, if this is the case, does that mean Harry has a possible way of finding out what V's other Horcruxes are? Through his dreams?

XY
Also, I'd just like to add that although these books did start out as children's books, I think they are no longer aimed at children of the same age as the first few books. i.e. I think the idea that Harry is a Horcrux could work.
