I am trying to find a fic I read a while ago. I am going to give all details i can remember
It starts of with Dumbledore and Severus at Hermiones house, her parents are dead. He tells hermione he is now her guardian. They are going to be staying there for a few days. Dumbledore puts up a ward to alert him if she uses any spells (im not sure why, maybe because he didnt want her to do anything rash in her grief). Hermione sneaks into severus' room and after a bit things start to heat up between them. Hermione casts a silencing spell on the room and they either sleep together (pretty sure they do anyway) Dumbledore has been alerted to the spell and brings it down, and he hears snape say her name and he confronts him about it, saying he has taken advantage of her and makes him leave -he is not to see her again.
Dumbledore takes hermione back to hogwarts and gives her a room near the teachers -all the teachers doors are decorated with things showing their personality, but although Hermione has the opportunity to do the same to hers, it remains bare/black -she badly wants to see snape and is upset that dumbledore wont let him near her. i think she may also be depressed
Hermione finds a music room, and plays the piano -I think she sings songs by evanessance, because they express how sad and lonly she feels without snape.
Severus watches her play a few times. and Minerva steps in to help them get together and defy dumbledore. I think in this fic, Minerva is very angry with what dumbledore is doing in regards to Hermione and severus. When he goes away for a few days, she makes severus talk to hermione.

it seems that after posting this, I was going through all my old bookmarks and by some miricle, one that I clicked on to see what it was, was in fact the fic I was looking for! lol

from chapter 4 onwards the formatting has gone nuts, and its not spread out fully, and instead its all going down the left-hand side instead of spreading over the screen. But its still quite readable, just weird to look at lol |
