False. (Don't ask about very bad colds, though; this has been one heck of a winter.)

Haven't seen 300yet—but then, I don't tend to watch movies in the theatres anyway.

I didn't think it was possible, but I actually have even more respect for the admins of the various sites I visit now that I've helped to move the reviews for a few stories. I'm feeling positively HTML'd out, and all I've done is put in italics and line breaks and do a lot of copying and pasting afterwards! *boggles*

The person below me has a piece of music they can literally play for hours in the background while the work, study, write, etc. (Mine's "Up An' Adam" as performed by the Victoria Police Pipe Band on the CD "Masterblasters"; for anyone who's curious, a MIDI file of the tune can be found here.)

False.
But I usually have the telly as background sound. Razz

Pennfana, I saw you working in some stories. I think I see everything in code now Confused I've worked on the reviews yesterday and today... I hope people will be happy with the move because I think I'll be willing to hit anyone complaining of anything.

I have flashbacks of the WIKTT Archives move... *shudders* My fingers needed a week to rest after so much copy and paste and fixing code.

The person below me is going to enjoy a very very long weekend by not working most of the week.
(Some people in here is taking the whole week off as Monday is a national holiday)

False. I'm supposed to be fencing and shearing but we'll see! *Crosses fingers and hopes for rain.*

I hate silence it disturbs me so I usually have the t.v going or if I'm on the computer my Media Player is usually on. I have no particulars I like to listen to but I've got my playlists and occasionally there'll be a song I play over and over. (At the moment that seems to be Miss Murder Directors cut- A.F.I.)

I haven't seen 300 and don't know who Gerard Butler is.

The peron below me has shorn a sheep.

False—but I have milked a cow, collected eggs from chickens and carried bales of hay and bags of feed for horses. Mine was a (shall we say) rather odd childhood/young adulthood for a city-dweller...

Maddy, I know what you mean about seeing everything in code, and I've been fighting off the urge for at least a day to use "<" and ">" instead of "(" and ")". HTML can be addictive, even if you only know a little bit about it...

Oh, and Wonga—Gerard Butler's the guy who played the Phantom in the film version of Phantom of the Opera. He didn't do too badly, either, considering he'd apparently never had a voice lesson.

The person below me tends to travel light.

Yep. For a weeks vacation for myself and my kid, I take exactly one carry on suit case, carried inside a larger suitcase, two backpacks and my purse. I do the carry on inside a large suitcase in case I buy too much crap while on vacation (which always happens).

I've been having nightmares about the move back to the traditional archives -- last night I had a dream where I freaked out because every story I transfered over suddenly went to SW69's account, instead of the account it was supposed to go to, and I couldn't fix it without deleting her account.

The html coding doesn't get to me so much anymore, since I've been slowly coding original layouts on livejournal and blogger for friends (CSS is my friend!).

If I'm writing (as in working on a new chapter) I can't have anything in the background, else I get distracted. When I'm just on the computer though, it varies as to what's happening in my house -- so it could be music, could be a video game, or could be the telly.

The person below me wishes April 7th was here already so we could post new chapters and stories again!

True!! So, so true. Smile

I'm a bit biased, though, because my life is chaos until this move is finished. However, did you see did you see did you see?!?! We're down to FOUR stories that need to have reviews transferred over, and they're being worked on now. After that, it's all behind-the-scenes stuff that is necessary but easy and not nearly as time-consuming or worrisome and transferring stories, so I'm relieved. I never thought we'd get this far so fast. *happily squees to death*

When I'm on the computer, I usually choose a playlist and let it run over and over. Lately, it's Broadway showtunes. *is a dork* Last week, it was songs by Regina Spektor, and before that, '80s rock. Lol.

The person below me wishes they could be sleeping right now. Smile

Actually, yes, I do. I have a cold that is driving me insane. I can't sleep at night; I'm sneezing and coughing; I hate the person who brought this into work!

Jackie, I love your RainbowBrite icon. The first time I saw it, I nearly fell out of my chair laughing. Ah, that ages me so. Of course getting excited seeing She-Ra: Princess of Power on DVD also ages me.

Speaking of the move, my left hand was so sore when I finally stopped Saturday night with all the ctrl-v, ctrl-c and alt-tab keystrokes I was doing. And then Sunday... 68 pages that exploded into 77 by the time I got finished coding and separating the reviews... I couldn't just work on it continuously. I had to stop and start multiple times. I did get it finished by around 10:30 last night, though. Of course, I was about a quarter of the way through before I thought about using a replace to put the italics before the Author's Response. *smacks forehead* Stupid me.

I have to have noise all the time due to my tendinitis in my ears. I have a constant humming sound that drives me nuts. Now, I don't have a specific song I listen to, but I do have my list of over 700 on my MP3 player that I put on random. It's mostly soundtracks (Star Wars, Harry Potter, etc.), Bach, animé soundtracks, Duran Duran and other miscellaneous music I like.

I am a little worried about going back to the old archives. I'm sure my stories will get a third of the views that had previously. I just wish people who read in the other archives would leave reviews like those who read Ashwinder. Sad

The person below me likes Animé.

True. I like Animé. Not a fan, but I like it.

jynx67, now you tell me about using a replace to put the italics! I used copy and paste, paste, paste, paste... one pass through the reviews, I put the <br> tag. Then I did another pass adding the italics tag at the beginning, and then another pass with the closing tag. Never got 77 pages, though.

And I know what you mean about going back to the old archives. I should say good bye to the increasing hit count on my original one-shot. People only read it because it was there in my profile along with the Lumione and the threesome fics, now that it was sent to Siberia... sorry, Chaos, I don't think anyone else will read it. Sad

But anyway. People is happy with the change, so I'll be happy too. I started posting because of Mage so I'm doing my best not to see the change back as a bad omen for my writing. *sighs* I'll be cheerful and supporting, and I'll keep writing and posting. yep. *nods* And I'll do my best to pimp Pureblood for it to be a place for us Lumione writers.

I do wish April 7th was here but not just yet. I still need to have a last look at my chapter before it's ready for submission, so until I have it ready I don't mind if the archive is still closed.

Travel light? I try to, I never manage to do it.

The person below me has a chapter ready for submission waiting for the queues to be open again.

Sort of true. Besides the stuff that I'm beta reading, I've got a couple of stories that I've literally been working on for a couple of years that I'd like to start posting once the old archives are open again. I don't like to post WIP's; I work very slowly, so I don't want anyone who reads my stories to forget about them before they're done. Therefore, I only post chaptered stuff that I've actually finished—which is why I've only ever posted a couple of chaptered things over here.

She-Ra's coming out on DVD? Ah, that's right, I'd heard something about that...I might have to look out for that, then; thanks, jynx! Smile

I'm not a huge fan of Animé, but I like the Animatrix—especially "Program", which I understand is in a very traditional style, as far as Animé goes. Go figure, eh? *shrugs* Unfortunately, my brother borrowed my copy of it and lost it about eight months ago and I haven't been able to track down another copy. Sad

(Incidentally, "The Matrix" is the first thing I thought of when Maddy said that she saw everything in code. Yeah, I'm a geek—among other things. Very Happy)

The person below me is having trouble keeping their pet(s) from climbing the window screens lately. *Runs off to detach her youngest cat from the open window*

False. Although I have most of Deep Space Nine and Voyager seasons on tape.

Sorry about the nap the thread took. I guess we were all working on the archives.
And I still have a lot to do... I have to update my recs list with all the links to the SH archives.
I'm doing some work on it too. Moving things around so I can find the fics quicker... there are so many...

Anyway.

No pets for me. My mum has my turtle in her house, but she doesn't climb window screens... she climbs pots and throw the poor plants all over the floor, tho.

The person below me ate too much chocolate this weekend. (I'm very proud of not doing so)

Nope. We didn't have any chocolate in the house at all (which is a terrible crime). My brother spilled the beans about Santa Claus to my kid, and my kid, being on smart cookie, applied that knowledge towards all the imaginary sprites like the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy. So, trying to be a 'manly man' (the ideas my brother puts in my kids head) my son decided he'd rather not have an easter basket (though I did convince him he could still have an easter present).

I feel terrible. I've been neglecting my livejournal, my blogger, my half written chapters and a bunch of other stuff lately because life's been... well... there. I'm hoping to get a bit of writing done today because I'm half way finished with the next chapter of An Unconventional Moment, and I'm 3/4 of the way finished with a Hermione/Remus one shot I've been working on. Unfortunately Tomorrow's Appeal is the red-headed step-child -- I'm still horribly blocked on that.

The person below me wishes it would stop snowing up north all ready -- it's spring, we should have warm, spring like weather!

It's snowing again. Didn't snow at all last month, and it has two or three times this week, starting with Easter afternoon. Got a fire going in the woodstove.

It is a reason to procrastinate working in the yard. Twisted Evil

I've got a messy house to take care of, and a messy pile of my own fanfic to address. I thought when my hours got cut at work, I'd pick up some more at my other job. Haven't. Or get my house cleaned. Haven't. Or get "The Plot" beta-read. Doing it.

But I've been eating a lot of chocolate (Easter stuff 1/2 off at the store, and it's the last candy holiday until Halloween, so stock up!)

The person below me has posted a new story or a new chapter at SH.

Yup. Another chapter of "The Highest Value."

I'm working on Snape's sixth year at Hogwarts.

The person below me steals Easter candy from her child/ren, nieces, nephews, whatever, because s/he didn't get her/his own Easter basket.
