False. My mother pre-ordered DH as a birthday present and I don't know anyone else who reads let alone reads HP. I did just have to buy another copy of HBP after that blasted puppy ate it!

I hate pickles, but I like gherkin juice. (!) Noone at my house dares eat gherkins because I tend to get one out of the jar, suck the juice then put it back! Embarassed (Kind of like that story about the 'chocolate coated' nuts.)

I've misplaced my mental list of misplaced things. As cliched as it is; "If my head wasn't..."

The person below me is considering the possibility of a puppy beanie! (Seriously, Ima gonna skin it if it eats one more thing it shouldn't even be near.)

Nope, my dog is older now, and the only thing he really eats are my brother's socks (baring the bright blue game boy game he chewed up the other day because my kid can't remember to pick his stuff up).

I'll be at a midnight gathering on the 21st, I mean really, my kid wouldn't let me hear the end of it if we didn't - we've done a bookstore party since like the 4th book.

The person below me will see Order of the Pheonix at an Imax theater (I wish - no imax near us, so it'll just be the normal theater on Saturday... me and 5 little bratty, noisy, smelling, grossed out boys - what fun Very Happy )

False. I don't know any Imax theatre around here.

No puppies for me. It's not that I hate dogs, but I'm too obsessed about order to have anything that could move my things even half a centimetre.

I have DH reserved and I'll have it delivered to me at Sectus.

Misplaced something important? Considering I'm in the middle of moving what it was my dad's office and would be mine soon, I have boxes of stuff all over the place and in several places... every time I need something I realise the labels in the boxes are not saying exactly what it is inside. I've been looking for some papers for 2 days and I can't find them...
My uncle usually misplaced his keyring, so he bought one that if you whistle it whistle back to you, that way he could hear where it was. People that didn't know him thought him crazy... he was usually seen walking around his house whistling and asking everyone to be quiet. *lol*

I hate pickles.

New bad habit? Nope. All my bad habits are old.

I haven't gone to see a play since last summer.

I don't have kids, but if I had, I couldn't be able to keep my hands off the Lego.

I think I answered all...

The person below me will be offline for some days to read DH without being spoiled.

Sort of true. I'll be offline for at least a week, probably a week and a half; I have a cousin in Winnipeg who's getting married at the end of the month, and on my way there I'm going to be stopping in Thunder Bay to visit my brother and his girlfriend for a few days. (It'll be a nice break; Winnipeg's about 26 hours away from where I live, if not more.) It should work out that I'm in T-Bay on the day that Deathly Hallows is released, and if I manage to get my hands on a copy I'll be able to enjoy it on the trip to Winnipeg. Smile

The person below me had something unusual for breakfast sometime in the past week.

True. Cottage cheese and potato chips. Actually, it's quite good.

I'm taking the day off work to buy and read the book. I'll go to the Barnes and Noble party the night before, and then go to the store I work at, where it'll be 40% off cover price, and a 15% employee discount after that. I'm buying 4 copies, so the kids and I each have our own.

No I-Max here. Can't afford to travel and go to a convention. Would LOVE to though...

JKR said that there would be another ghost at Hogwarts. I wrote a story ("Hogwarts Newest Ghosts" at Lumos) that it would be Voldemort. (Imagine the horror: having to put up with Moaning Myrtle for the rest of his existence!)

The person below me has a different person in mind.

Different person in mind for what? *shakes head* I'm so lost and confused it isn't even funny.

The person below me is all excited about the National Treasure sequel.

Long time since I was here. How are you all?

False. I don't know what National Treasure is, so I can't be excited about its sequel.

The person below me is participating in a fic-exchange at the moment.

True... although technically I turned in my assignment the first weekend of November (early to boot), and haven't heard if I'm pinch hitting anywhere as of yet.

The person below me watches Dancing with the Stars.

False. We don't have much television, but I've read some of the updates, and the pictures of the costumes look great.

I am sooo glad to see you all again! I've missed this site.

As for the "different person" bit: I'd read an article where JKR had said that Hogwarts would get a new ghost. I thought it would be Voldy, but wanted to know if anyone else had any guesses. Well, the article was wrong, wasn't it?

I'm in sort of a fic exchange: It's a site called "Silent Twilight" and it takes place 10 years after Deathly Hallows, featuring original characters with canon characters making cameo appearances. From it, I was able to create two more stories (see signature).

The person below me watches the television show "Pushing Daisies".

False. I don't watch much TV; generally if I do watch something, it's a movie or an episode of "The X-Files" from one of the seasons I've got on DVD. (Oddly enough, I never watched that show when it was on; my brother and his girlfriend introduced me to it when I went to visit them in August.)

So great to see this thread is active again! Very Happy Overhill, you're not the only one who's missed these boards.

Before Deathly Hallows came out, I thought that Dumbledore might've been an interesting ghost for Hogwarts, though I didn't think he'd choose to become one.

I've never even heard of "National Treasure"—shows exactly how far out of the loop I am, I guess—and since I'm trying to rebuild the final chapter of my current WIP (my old laptop suddenly gave up the ghost, so I lost all my outlines and the finished scenes), there's no way I could even think of participating in a fic-exchange. Yes, I really do work that slowly. Confused

The person below me has already been in a snowball fight this month.

False, and thank god for that! It's cold, but we've been rather lucky, only a smattering of snow and it's usually gone in a blink. I'm dreading the heavier stuff that's sure to come. Bleh. Cold and snow s.uck.

National Treasure is a cut movie that came out maybe three of four years ago where Nicolas Cage used some interesting American Folklore - and the Declaration of Independence to find a fabled treasure. History channel meets folklore meets Indiana Jones sort of stuff. The sequel comes out later this month, and is suppose to have a bit more American history/American folklore history.

The person below me has lost a chapter they've written before (as I did somehow this weekend).

True.

I have written Acts 3, drafted Acts 4 And 5 Abelard and Heloise at least twice, and everytime I think Act 3 is ready to beta, my husband decides to upgrade the computers, and, because I didn't save it off site or on disk (I'm a technoidiot), it's gawn. Since then, I've save on Live Journal, but haven't had the time or the drive to redo them. Evil or Very Mad

It is freezing cold here, and I've been working extra hours, and I need to get the house cleaned up before it gets worse...

I haven't ssen National Treasure, still, (thanks for the info, though), but I have watched "Hairspray" many times. It's fun, but it's also weird to me, as the story of Emmett Till and the Civil Rights Movement were part of my growing up.

On a lighter note, the person below me has seen or read "The Golden Compass".

True—my cousin lent me her copy of the book, and I'm seriously considering buying a copy for myself after I give it back to her.

The person below me is good at tinkering with things.

False! I'm just another book worm, and have no use for tinkering with things!

The person below love vampire and/or werewolf stories.

True!

Tinkering with things... well, it depends on what things and if you mean they work fine after I put my hands on them Laughing
Now been a bit more serious, I do know enough about electricity to try and fix electric appliances if the problem is not too difficult.
And I like puzzles so if you give me something that's not working I'll try to solve the problem given enough time.
I also love all mechanical machines... but those ones usually end up broken if I delve into them to figure out how they work. Razz

Not read nor seen "the Golden Compass". Is it any good? Should I wait to see the movie or should I go buy the book instead?

I'm too OCD to lose something I wrote. I may misplace it if it's on paper instead of been in my computer, but sooner or later it'll turn up. Wink

No snowball fights. It's almost Summer!

We don't have the show "pushing daisies" here.

I've watched Dancing with the stars once or twice. We have some sort of similar show here Bailando por un Sueño (Dancing for a Dream).

I think I answered all the posts...

The person below me can't wait for the holidays to be over... I know this year I'm not in a mood for parties so I can't wait for the year to end once and for all. *sighs*
