I'm somewhat new to fanfic writing. I'm a creative writing major (currently taking time off from school), American, 22...

Story title: Under the Rain
Summary: A couple years after the end of the war, Snape has locked himself up in a moldering house, sulking in the shadows. Painfully thin, out of touch with the world, he's caught between life and death. A connecting garden door and a bitter, angsty Hermione Granger enters the picture, and Snape finds himself challenged by someone as bitter and scarred as himself.
Rating: So far - PG ... will be R as it comes along
Category/Genres: Angst, Dark fics, Dark Romance (NOT rape or BDSM)
Ship: HG/SS
Warnings: Swearing, hints of violence if not out-right violence, possibility of sex in latter chapters.
Despite a partial background as an English major, my spelling and grammar need a second eye. I'd like a beta who's willing to work with me as this story comes on... and it may take a while. I need someone who's patient, doesn't mind maybe two or three weeks between things to read - basically, if you don't have much time, I'm the author for you! 
A solid knowledge of Snape and Granger canon characterization would be helpful. |

Hey! I have someone looking the first chapter over right now - and I went ahead and posted it despite it not being betad, because it was short (under 700 words).
I'm of the opinion that multiple pairs of eyes never hurt, so if you'd like to take a look, that would be awesome! If you drop me a PM or an email (pretentious.kate@gmail.com) I'll send you the first and second chapters. |
