I read this story recently so it might be a WIP. All I can remember is that Hermione is at Hogwarts after graduating and fills in for Snape when he is ill.

The previous day they had discussed a recent potions article about an increase in addictions to a certain potion.

In her class she had the students discover that it was because one of the ingredients was being chopped magically instead of by hand when made at home which meant that there was more being added to the potion.

The class was then to write a letter to the magazine with its findings.

This same story might also have had a scene where Snape observed her teaching a potions class and she had the class brewing together with one cauldron adding the ingredients. Or this could be another story I can't remember the rest of.

I've tried googling Hermione, potions, ingredients, addiction, etc with no luck so I hope someone can help.
