I am desperately searching for a particular Severus Snape/Hermione Granger story. I looked on another site and got a reply that it was called "The Other Side of Darkness" by Abby. It was pretty close to what I wanted, but I don't believe it was THE one I'm searching for.
Anyway in this fan fic, Snape and Hermione are at Snape Manor. His Parents are there and are NOT nice people.
I seem to recall Snape slowly opening up to Hermione.
In one scene, Snape is sitting by a lake/River and Hermione sees him. She notices he's angry about something. She starts asking him questions and he breaks down after telling her about when his older Brother died. I THINK Snape said he was 3 or 4 at the time.
Again, I'm sorry if this is confusing, but I THINK it was in Ashwinder in 2005 or so.
With those crazy details, can anyone help me?

| Hmmm do you have any idea who the author might possibly be, other than Abby? Because quite honestly, "The Other Side of Darkness" is the only story I can think of right now that would fit that. |
