We'll definitely be needing help, no worries!
I figure that anyone who wants to use the category can put it on their stories if they want to do so, and if not... *shrug*. People will use it eventually. And I'll admit, we have more Lucius/Hermione stories than Lucius/Narcissa, so... it's needed. |

Well.... when we get a chance, I want some stuff added to Chaos, cause I'll be marketing the Chaos board hard core!!!
Doctor Who
Torchwood
Star Gate
Star Gate Atlantis
Heroes
House
Dresden Files
Battlestar Galatica
Lost
Err that's all I can think of that I'd want to add at the moment.

You're crazy, Celis. But that's why we love you.
Um... I'd save the list and email it to CareCrystal in about three or four weeks. Lol. I don't really think it should be a problem. |

Just checked the updates as Ashwinder and found a new rating: "Erotic". And it was on the Fairy God-Jarvey story! [Reginia is definitely one Brazen character. Pun completely appropriate.]
Ack! What is "Erotic"? The new word for "Brazen?" Is there going to be a word for "Violence" too? And what would be the rating if a story was both?
Personally, I imagine "Erotica" to be the same as "Lascivious", but without the violence. My Lucius-centric story is "Brazen". (Sorry, it's not done yet; it has to wait its turn in my writing queue)
*****
Oh, and by-the-way, please add "Pern" (Ann McCaffrey) and "Elfquest" (Warp Graphics, Inc) to the list on Chaos. (My long-dreaded Winnowill/Kreacher story will be finished soon... )
And maybe add "Sisterhood of Steel" (Christy Marx). *pokes at plot bunny egg. No response.* ....Then again, maybe not.
Thanks. |

Errr Overhill,
Do you know whether or not Anne McCaffery has changed her stance on fan fiction? Last I knew, she, as well as Anne Rice, Nora Roberts, and a few others I can't remember off the top of my head don't allow fan fiction of any kind for their work. Whereas other authors, such as JK allow it.
I heard a rumor that McCaffery might have changed her mind about fan fiction, but with the cease and desist letters she's sent out in the past, without concrete proof that she is allowing it, it would be a legal nightmare.

She keeps waffling back and forth. Fanfiction.net has an archive for her fanfic.
Here are her current rules:
http://www.annemccaffrey.net/index.php?page_id=20
I can see that it would be easier (and less messy for Chaos) if I made a few changes to my story and made it a bit more "generic", as it involves a cross-over. (Even though there has been a commercially produced cross-over, featuring T'spoon and his dragon Broth.)
(At one time she had her own fanfic site, for which you had to go through a few hoops to be approved, for which I was, and then she closed the site. Hmm, think I'll go find some cheese for my whine...) |

Hey Celis, your wish is my command! I just added these to Chaos. I still have to re-arrange the order, but they are out there now, just so you know. |

Um, er. . .I confess that I was the bad house-elf playing with the ratings yesterday, and thus some stories may have been temporarily affected.
*scurries away into corner in repentance*
Just so you know about my experimentation re the story ratings: We are considering changing them, but we will do so only if we can find a more intuitive, easy-to-recognize method that will be easier for everyone. Otherwise, things will not change.
And needless to say, a change from "brazen" to "erotic" is not the, er, intuitive, easy-to-recognize option that we seek, which is why the previous ratings were restored. . .
Thanks for your patience in all of this---I appreciate it! |

I went to one of my fav's story collections at Ashwinder, and saw that the reviews were restored, and then saw that my review at Chaos had been restored. (yeah, my first story, one review, but it's a quality one!)
My Teacher!Snape stories from Mage are now at Occlumency, so I guess I'll be putting the reviews there.
Keep up the good work.
It was fun reading what people wrote, and I went ahead and saved the ones I'd written for others: Muses Fed. I am going to miss that feature... |

Gee, it's like a count down now.
The reader count it up in the 70's at Ashwinder, and 15 at Mage. (It's sad that even the old "inactive" Ashwinder site usually had more readers on any day than the active Mage site did...)
I will miss seeing the reader count for my stories. It made up for the lack of reviews. (In the reviews, I did learn that I got two SS/HG readers.) I went ahead and copied it over to keep in my computer's "scrapbook".
Nice picture selection for the return back. "Bella" really did the job for the whole time she was there. And it's good to have the links to the various other archives up front and center.
I checked my stories and the reviews. So far, looks like everything is okay.
Thanks again, everyone, for restoring and carrying over the reviews.
