I'm looking for a story where Harry establishes a deep telepathic and magical bond with Hermione or Ginny (I think it's Hermione, as they share classes).
It's deremened by Dumbledore that it's an unusual strong bond that can't be broken without dire consequences, but this fact is not shared with most of the teachers.
Although they take great care to not use the bond to cheat, Snape suspects they have a telepatic link, and use a borderline-dark (German) curse to sever the link in the middle of a potions-class. The result is that Hermione(?) lapses into a coma.
Hermione(?) keeps wasting away, as she can't feel Harry through the bond. Harry must try to bring her back by making her realize he's still there -- and if possible mend the link.
Does this sounds familiar?
