<  The Ministry of Magic  ~  forum avatars

Is there a restriction on who can have an avatar in the forum, or the file format in which it must be? I tried to upload one that was a JPEG of less than 80x80 pixels and only about 3kb, but all it showed was the traditional [x] that comes up when an image link is faulty. I noticed some other avs aren't showing up either. I'm running Win98 and IE 6 on both my computers... might this be the problem?

The maximum size an avatar can be is: 6144kb with the dimensions of 80x80.

My questions for you would have to be these though...

Are you uploading it to the server or are you using a link to an image you have saved some where?

Are you able to view the avatar within your profile also after you upload/link it to the gallery?

As far as I know the avatars are working, I haven't received any information otherwise about them.

Tried it again with a GIF, same result. *shrug* No big loss. Thanks anyway! Smile
