Sniggers.
It also is sometimes described as "Porn without Plot".
does that help?
Essentially it is a piece of writing that solely exists to depict a sex scene, between whichever characters there are in it.
Also called "Porn with a flimsy Plot". Again, there is practically no plot as such.
For example *coughs*:
"Detention Miss Granger!"
"Gosh, I never noticed how sexy Professor Snape was, before," thought Hermione, provocatively undoing the top three buttons of her school blouse displaying her delectable cleavage to best advantage, and making sure she brushed just a bit too close to Snape as she squeezed past him on her way to the Potions cupboard.
"Impertinent baggage!" murmured the Potions master into her ear, as he....
Fill the rest in yourself. See, there's no real motivation here, but it's not usually what the reader of PWP is looking for.
It is a close relative of PWABS: Porn with a back story, where the plot is slightly less flimsy, but the intention is the same, to write smut. |

The basic premise is that Plot, What Plot is a story consisting of a lot of smut and little to no plot. However, as a general practice, most writers will have a bit of a minor plot in the story that allows for the characters to come together. Keep in mind, that in order to be classified as a PWP, the only plot involved is used to get the characters together.
