I just read a great SS/HG story and stupidly forgot to make it a favorite. I think I found it in the randomly selected stories and have been unsuccessully searching for it ever since.
I want to say it was a post-HBP story where Hermione was helping Severus out, unbeknownst to everyone else of course. The two of them used hummingbirds to communicate with one another, a system Dumbledore had set up at one point or another. After Voldemort is defeated Hermione heads off to university to get herself together before making a committment to Severus. She ends up having a roomate whose boyfriend wants to apprentice in potions. At the end Hermione sends a hummingbird off to Severus and he comes to the university to get her. I can of course remember tons of details but unfortunately not the author or story title.
I really loved the story and who appreciate if anyone could help me out with finding it. Thanks in advance! |

By an incredible coincidence, i think i might be reading the story you are after.
I'm only upto chapter 22 but i am at least hmmm 92% sure at this point that you are after Tea and Sympathy by Jocemum

| Thanks so much. Now that I see this, I can't belive I didn't realize that this was the story I was looking for. I had been reading it months ago when only a few chapters had been posted at OWL, forgot about it, and started again without realizing it was the same story. I'm glad you pointed this out to me because I would have continued skipping over it without realizing it was the story I wanted. Thanks again!!! |
