My Sirius muse is begging me to write something for him. Unfortunately, I have no ideas. My brain has run dry. It's rather frustrating, actually. Could someone help me out and give me a plot bunny? Please? |

What about a humorous little love-ish thingy?
Sirius has just learned how to use the Internet (Hermione's tutoring). He pops into a chat room, where he meets a person he likes (man/boy or woman/girl; your choice). They start talking to each other, they exchange mail addresses, they send a lot of emails to and fro (much of this story could, but doesn't have to, be in the form of electronic dialogue), they fall in love.
Then they decide to meet up. And Sirius appears, happy and anxious, until he sees the other and finds out it's... *insert here the most unlikely person ever to pair up with Sirius*. They get into a huge fight in a public place ("You tricked me!"), then... the rest is up to you It could end right there or this could be the mere intro. Your choice.
Sounds interesting? This has been lying around in my head for some time, so I'd be really interested in reading it if you decide to give it a go |

While it is a very interesting idea, there are many flaws to this story. The internet was not like it is today ten to twelve years ago. Computers were much more expensive. I don't think Hermione would have had one, much less one that was connected to a BB or the fledgeling internet. That was expensive as well. So, while the idea is very intriguing, it's not possible.
Thanks for at least trying to give me a plot bunny. I suppose I'm doomed to never write again. |

Sirius's journey from the prison to Hogwarts hasn't been explored yet, as far as I am aware. Were there helpful sailors who pulled him from the sea? Were there people who tried to befriend the stray dog, or others who tried to catch it, or even kill it? Was there anyone who might have suspected that there was more to the dog than met the eye? or would the dog do anything that was more "human" and less "doggy" (listening in on coversations, or read street signs, as a certain cat did in the first HP book). How would other dogs react to him?
Good luck! |

Overhill, I like that idea. I'll have to see if I can come up with something.
maryh, I've actually done that before... though not in great detail. I've seen lots of takes on it, too. |

How about Sirius' time at school? Or perhaps a story about Regulus would also ignite your interest? I bet Regulus and Snape were acquaintances at school - Snape's vendetta against the marauders and Regulus' reasonably evident dislike for his older, more handsome and above all Gryffindor brother is certainly giving them common ground.
I started a story involving Regulus and Sirius as friends (well, ill-assorted allies really) but I have no idea where to take it.
