Story title: The Relic of the Devil's Eye
Summary: The war is over and Voldemort is gone for good this time, but everyone is not celebrating. The Order took a heavy hit, especially Hermione. During the final battle Ron, her fiancé, gets hit by an unknown curse and goes into a coma, unlike any coma ever seen before. With the help of her friends she researches a cure for Ron. Before a cure can be found, if there even is a cure, the mystery curse drains the life from his body killing him. Severus and Draco help to keep her together after the loss of Ron.
In one final act before being sent to Azkaban Lucius Malfoy, along with a few other on the run Death Eaters and a secret Death squad, murder her parents and leaves a special message for the Order to find. Hermione lost her parents, her first love, and on top of it all her best friend, Harry withdraws from her. To keep herself from going off the deep end she leaves the wizarding world behind leaving notes for Dumbledore, Severus & Draco but telling no one where she is going.
A few years later the Order of Phoenix gets wind of a plot that could bring a new reign of terror that could be permanent this time. In the Order's search for the Devil's Eye they run into who else but Hermione Granger all grown up and hunting Lucius Malfoy, who has escaped from Azkaban. Revenge brings a completely changed Hermione back into the lives of the friends she left behind. Can they work together to save the world? Can Hermione and Severus pick up with the friendship they once had and maybe turn it into something more along the way?
