i'm a lurker here, and i hate to ask, but i've searched and looked and can't find two stories that i've read before and it's driving me crazy! hopefully someone here can help me.
1: this first one is fairly recent. hermione overhears ron and harry talking about her being dumpy and saying she was 3 cats away from being put on the shelf. snape sees this and convinces her they should both get revenge by making themselves better. he secretly loves her and plans to woo her in the process.
2: this one is an older fic. snape makes some rude comments to hermione about her choice of universities. she went to the university to appease her parents (she thinks snape said the things he did because she was muggle-born, when he really felt the university was beneath her). she dates a dentist her parents set her up with who abuses her. first harry finds out, then snape does.
any help finding these would be most appreciated!  |

hi! thanks for replying.
in the first one, snape convinces hermione that they should shock everyone and get revenge by making themselves better, which includes new hair, clothes, etc. he takes her to his cousin who is a designer, and she guesses that he's in love with hermione and she overhears the conversation. this makes the story sound so hokey, but it was a very endearing tale.
in the second, besides the emerging romance between her and snape, the subplot had something to do with belatrix looking for revenge, hermione working on her final project for school (which is a protective potion), and harry also being in love with hermione. she uses him while conflicted about her own feelings for snape.
i don't know if that is helpful, or if i just made it more confusing.

I've looked everywhere I can think of for those two stories, and while I do remember reading something along the lines of both, I can't find them.  |

the first one is Boardwalk or Bust 03 – Droxy’s Tale by Ladyofthemasque in the restricted section!!  just thought i'd update since i found one. i'm still banging my head over the second one. thanks for trying to help, though. |
