<  Personae  ~  Help with story

I really don't know where else to put this so I'll put it here. I am writing a murder mystery, in which Hermione is CSI person. Would it be plausible to have her doing regular things that real CSI people do? As in, would it be canon to have her acting much like Forensics person, say, overseeing the autopsy, collecting evidence?
I would imagine the wizarding world would have to have someone to do it. Let me know what you think. Thanks!
