Hello, lovely SHers!
Chapter 2 of "Habit," my entry into the "Lupin is Not a Wimp" Challenge at Wolfsbane, is now up!
"Habit": a Snupin sequel and Challenge fic by Snegurochka
For those who recall chapter 1, our Snupin heroes are in a bit of trouble, aren't they? Quoting own cliffhanger:

Well, well, well, Lupin is ever so gradually working his way out of Wimp-dom, it seems. That's right -

Greetings once again, my Snupin converts!
I'm delighted to announce that chapter 4 of "Habit," my entry into the "Lupin is Not a Wimp" Challenge at Wolfsbane, is now up!
Chapter 4: Accepted
A small preview:

The last thing Remus wanted right now was a ridiculous discussion about how Snape had allegedly pined for him for years. The man had tried that line before. Bloody liar. "You don't understand, Snape – he was my only option; he was the only option I could even consider." He stepped forward to meet Snape, his chin lifted in defiance. He had a feeling he knew where Snape wanted to go with this, and he would be damned if he was going to let him. Not this time. "It was always Sirius; there was never anyone else."
Snape held his gaze. "There was me," he said quietly.
There it was. The rage uncoiled in Remus's stomach before he could even acknowledge it, nevermind stop it, and he turned on Snape in a fury. "There was never you!" he spat. "Don't you dare stand there and try to convince me that you were always ripe and available, just over that next hillside, if only I would get my head out of my arse and come looking."
Snape blanched.
"'There was never you' back at school, and 'there was never you' since I've been back in Britain." He pointed an accusing finger at Snape. "Don't do that," he warned. "Don't lie to me and say that the day I came back to that school there were hearts popping out of your eyes. I know what you thought of me."

Oh, my dear patient Lupinites, waiting and waiting with bated breath to see whether or not our dear werewolf is indeed a wimp!

Chapter 5: Overcome
at Wolfsbane (for the werewolf whores)...
... and at Serpensortia (for the slash whores).
Loyal readers may recall a very nasty blow-up between our heroes as the last chapter drew to a close. Is their relationship salvageable?

"I couldn't wait for you anymore. I thought if you were out of my life, I would have some peace and quiet."
"I never knew you were waiting, you know," Remus said softly. "You should have - "
"Would it have made a difference?"
"I don't know."
Snape made a sound that almost qualified as a laugh, in a miserable sort of way. "I do, and it wouldn't have."
They sat in silence for a long moment then, and in those agonising wisps of time, Remus felt with a sickening drop in his stomach that it was over, that there was nothing he could say now to salvage their relationship. His insistence on honestly, clarity, and hauling all those rotting skeletons out of the closet earlier that afternoon and throwing them in Snape's face had now cost him what he knew for certain was the best thing that had ever happened to him.

Go read, my pretties! Alas, in revising it, chapter 5 expanded well past 10,000 words and has thus morphed from one chapter into two – so although I promised you only five chapters, I have baldly lied.
I swear there's only one more chapter after this, and it is ready to go. Many thanks for your patience, and for the supportive reviews.

Chapter 6: Released
I'd love to give a teaser here, but there's quite frankly nothing I can clip from this final chapter that won't give it all away. Go and read, my pretties! Thank you a million times over to all who have read and reviewed. I'm delighted with the response.
