Does anyone know if any (completely insane ) person out there has done a breakdown of which "speaking" verbs get used by which characters in canon?
I'm thinking of something that would look approximately like this:
Harry: "said" 12,259 times; "shouted" 4507 times; "screamed" 623 times
Ron: "said" 10,396 times; "yelled" 7290 times
etc etc etc
No, I'm not volunteering to do this.
Just curious if anyone actually *had* - it might be interesting to use that as a way to look at how characters speak in canon. |

I believe I saw something like this on Snape. Not the exact counts, but what words and phrases he was particular to. I don't think it was on the hp lexicon or mugglenet.... sadly i don't remember where i saw it. hmmm... i think it was on a snape-centric site... this is gonna bother me until i remember.... oh well. |

Just a note -- your link doesn't work because it includes the period at the end of the sentence. |
