Dear Readers of Despondeo,
I hope you are all well and enjoying your summer.
Writer’s block, or cabin fever—I just don’t know what happened, but my last update was in April. Sheesh! April! Can you believe it? I have finished writing the dreaded chapters 16 & 17 (thank God!) and will be sending chapter 18, which flowed a lot faster, to my betas for editing next week. I am starting chapter 19 as we speak. Whatever the problem was, it seems to have passed for now. I do apologize and hope that I haven’t lost any readers in the process, but I cannot promise that it will not happen again. Life happens. 
I do want to let you know that I have a new first beta. Her name is WickedlyWonton and she’s fabulous! Vaughn, who is just as superb, will stay on as my second beta. I hope it is appreciated that without them, you would not be reading Despondeo.
Lastly, this post is to let you know that Chapters 16 & 17 of Despondeo (The Iron Fortress Parts I & II) have been posted to the Occlumency archive.
Happy reading . . . well, maybe not so happy (you’ll see).
