Feb 2006 - Mirror of Erised (suggested by tripperfunster)
Completed Artworks.

March 2006 - Socks
In honour of the late and great Albus Dumbledore (and Dobby, and every other sock reference in HP!).
Completed artworks.

April 2006 - Alice In Wonderland
Suggested via email. Voldemort the Mad Hatter, Snape the Pawn, Bellatrix as the Queen of Hearts, a garden of Slytherin flowers... see what's on the other side of the Common Room mirror!
Completed artworks.

May 2006 - great fanon cliches.
Draco in leather pants, Snape the love god, Hermione the tart-with-a-brain... what's your favourite fanon cliche?
Completed artworks.

As always, these have no end dates - they're just prompts to get the creative juices flowing. Please submit your entries to the category SH Art Challenge Entries, under the month the challenge was issued. That way everyone can find everything much easier. Smile

I'm sorry but I've a little problem with understanding what the meaning of "under the month" is(so much for my English Embarassed ). Does it mean that we have one month time to finish the picture? Or that it should be finished by the end of the month?

No problems, Julia - when you go to upload your picture, place it in the folder that corresponds to the month that the challenge was issued. If the challenge that I'm responding to what issued in March 2006, I'd look for a folder that's called 'March 2006' and upload it there.

Unless told otherwise, I wouldn't think that there are time limits on challenges. I was going to give a new prompt/key word every fortnight or monthly, depending on interest, and people can do with them what they will. Smile

It's your idea, I'm just doing the paperwork. Wink

Just a reminder that all submissions should stick to the usual standards, such as erasing excess pencil lines and removing scanner smudges from images. I only rag on this because neatly presented artwork means more attention and feedback for the artist. Smile

Maybe it's about time to issue a new challenge, as March is almost over?

I was thinking either the Mirror of Erised idea, or the Boggart. Either would be challenging.

Goodness, how demanding. They go up in the first week of the month, depending on interest.

Ah! I apperently missed that part somewhere. Smile I am looking forward to it. I had an idea. What about an April Fool's Day theme? It could be pranks played on or by the staff, or something about Fred and George, to celebrate their birthday.

Are we still doing these? Will there be more? Is there somewhere that hosts HP fanart challenges already?

Curious,
Nikki
