A while ago, I was wondering if wealthy Wizarding folk would use the term "nanny". Most people I asked said "why not?", so I used it.

Now, I need a hangover remedy. Actually, I need two, a common and a less common one. I suppose they would be potions specifically brewed for the purpose of combatting hangovers. I would appreciate any suggestions either for the naming of such potions or other alternatives.

Thanks,
Zen

[I wasn't sure where to post this question. I considered "The Library", but that seems more like it's for discussion of the books than questions.]

Well, I'm not rich, English nor a Wizard, but I'm pretty sure the term Governess might be more....uppity. KWIM? It's like a high-end nanny.

Sorry I can't help you on the hang-over remedy. Ask a Brit-picker if they have a specific term for being hung-over and I suppose make one up from that.

Good luck,
Tripp

'Under the weather' is a kind way of saying that you're hung-over.

I suspect that magical people would put more faith in a good fry-up and a ta chaser to cure a hangover than anything that Great-Uncle Seamus brewed up in his garden shed.
