I love the Page 394 challenge because it produces such a wide variety of wonderful stories. In the same way, I hope this challenge appeals to authors from many different genres and 'ships.
The Verse Two, Line One Challenge
Deadline: March 19, 2006
Challenge rules:
Pick five songs.
Take the first line of the second verse of each song.
Write a story incorporating all of the lines.
Don't forget to credit! Post each line, the song title and artist/lyricist at the end of the story.
This is not a songfic challenge in which the characters sing to each other! Fics like that are cheesy and not some I enjoy reading. Stories based around song lyrics, however, can be interesting and moving.

Note to the mods: I hope posting this as a challenge to 'all archives' rather than a specific one is okay. I could have made it archive-specific by adding a 'ship to the rules, but I wanted it to be open to as many authors as possible  |
