I have tried to upload a oneshot (my first fic). It would not let me submit without a chapter title and now in my account the story says First Chapter and Not Completed. How do I convince it this is a oneshot? |

I'm not part of the staff, but I've posted several one-shot stories...
For the completed part, you have to manually change it. Go to Your Account > Edit/Delete Stories and click on the NO after the word Completed: it'll change to YES.
And about the First Chapter thing, one-shot or chaptered fic, no matter what you put as a chapter title will say First Chapter in your account. It doesn't matter, it's just in your account and not what people see when reading the story. |

Thanks for this it's really useful. Can I ask what type of wording you put in the Chapter title of your oneshots? I put 'oneshot' - should I change it before it gets looked over by the Admins? |

Thanks for snagging this questions Maddy!
Peskipiksi, Maddy is quite correct. A lot of authors simply call their chapter title one-shot, or just re-use the story title as the chapter title. It's really up to you. |
