I'm relatively new to this fandom, and I've started work on a story for Ashwinder. It's post DH and will be somewhat long with a slow, ambling sort of pace (I can't be having with action packed thrills at my time of life.) I need someone to hold my hand.

Summary: You can't change the past, but you can facilitate it.
Rating: Not sure at this stage. Probably not Lascivious. Have never written anything really explicit and am unsure as to whether this is the time to start.

Warnings: Character death.
Synopsis: 21 years after the events of Deathly Hallows (two years after the epilogue) someone is seeking control of the Hallows once more and they aren't afraid to kill to get what they want. A botched attempt to kill Harry, newly-appointed Minister of Magic results in Ron's death. Subsequent events lead to Hermione Granger travelling back in time to rescue Severus Snape from almost certain death. Snape reveals that his research indicated that there are four Hallows, not three as previously believed. (The folklore of ancient Britain specifies four original Hallows - Grail, Sword, Spear and Pentacle/Platter: one for each direction and season - so there ought to be four Deathly Hallows, to my way of thinking.) Severus joins Hermione in the search for the fourth Hallow and their relationship develops slowly from a grudging respect to something warmer.
I'm a very slow, very meticulous writer, but this doesn't keep me from making lots of stuff-ups. I need someone who is good with canon and who can spot any Australianisms slipping in. I'm only on the first chapter and a bit of the second, so this is going to be a long term project, as I also have a life and a lot of projects on the go. I also need my beta to be able to stop me when I start getting all thingy about owl husbandry.  Sad, isn't it? |
